Taylor was born and raised in central Illinois. That’s what brought this couple back to Champaign from Seattle, where they currently live, to say “I Do”. With the help of HR Events, planning a wedding while out of state made the process much less stressful. Where does one even begin to talk about their wedding day? Taylor’s wedding gown from BHLDN was such a beautiful gown. We couldn’t stop staring… Taylor truly looked like a princess on her wedding day. The added belt to coordinate with her bridesmaids’ dresses was a perfect touch.
Between dinner from El Toro, their favorite local restaurant, and gluten-free cupcakes (that were amazeballs) no one should have left hungry.
While having family members in the bridal party is fairly common, it’s not as usual for the officiant to be a family member. Taylor’s grandmother officiated their ceremony and did such a beautiful job. The love her grandmother has for both her granddaughter Taylor and Chris was apparent by the stories she shared, the looks she gave and the affection she showed. It was such a sweet, touching ceremony.
As we sit here seeing news reports of a winter storm coming to central Illinois in the next 24 hours, it’s a perfect time to think back to their beautiful sunshine-filled day last summer. Chris and Taylor, we pray you have a lifetime of moments as beautiful as the ones we were able to witness on your wedding day.
