Don and Emilee’s wedding at The Venue CU from last May was perfect. The whole day was beautiful and classic, with gorgeous details and lots of love and laughter.
This was one of three weddings I photographed at the Venue CU last year, and each experience working there was amazing. Take a look at Cami and Justin’s stunning wedding at this venue I posted last week!
Some history on the venue: it was originally built in 1890 as Vriner’s Confectionary before becoming a movie theater in the 1900s, so it is definitely a historical landmark in Champaign, IL. The tiles in the venue are a recreation of the original, and you can see it in some of the detail shots I took. Its owners are incredibly proud of its history and did their best to preserve its original features.
Don and Emilee were such a gorgeous couple and I had such a wonderful time with them on their wedding day. I could see how deep the love between them was, and they had a ton of fun with their family and friends. I just know they will have a long and happy life together.

Wedding photographs should tell the full story: the candid joy; the family photos grandma loves; the dance photos that leave everyone feeling connected long after the music stops playing…we get to know each other throughout the planning process – that’s why every package comes with engagement photos as well. So by your wedding day, we’re old friends, you’re comfortable with my camera, and your moments are genuine and never forced.
