This gorgeous outdoor engagement session with Brooke and Nick was taken on a chilly fall day in Leroy, IL. These fiancees are a beautiful couple getting married on May 7 at the Venue Chisca in Peoria, IL.
Brooke and Nick met at work in 2014 where he was a fermentation operator who would bring samples to the lab where she worked as a lab technician. A fairytale beginning with a scientific twist! Brooke said that after they met, “Nick was persistent. He always made sure to talk to me when he came into the lab.” After some after work hangouts with mutual friends, she said that ‘from there our relationship blossomed.’
Nick popped the question around Christmastime, perfect because they both adore that time of year and all its festivities. He had planned every last detail, including a snow machine, and when the time came to take photos for their Christmas card he got down on one knee.
These two are some classic, outgoing lovebirds who love to share laughs and good times together. Nick loves that Brooke has a wonderful sense of humor combined with her bubbly personality, and Brooke loves his strong morals and how romantic he is.
You would never be able to tell from the photos, but it was actually raining and snowing on and off for the whole session, plus it was super windy! Brooke and Nick were great sports despite the unruly weather, and the final images look like it was an idyllic fall day. These two are just so in love and had an amazing time together, laughing all during this session. I am so excited to photograph their wedding– I know it’s going to be a wonderful day of laughter and celebration.
Engagement photographs should begin to tell the full story. On your wedding day I want to capture the candid joy; the family photos grandma loves; the dance photos that leave everyone feeling connected long after the music stops playing…we get to know each other throughout the planning process – that’s why every wedding package comes with engagement photos as well. So by your wedding day, we’re old friends, you’re comfortable with my camera, and your moments are genuine and never forced.
