When I travel I don’t buy souvenirs. My souvenirs are photographs – memories. Recently I traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to photograph a destination wedding. Since we were there for business and not play I didn’t stray from the resort, however, the scenery right there at our hotel, the Riu Palace was gorgeous!

It’s been such an honor to photograph so many big moments in this couple’s lives from their engagement session to their beautiful fall wedding complete with a dream outdoor reception at Maddie’s mom’s home and now maternity pictures.

If time could be frozen, I would consider doing it. Momentarily. To just bottle up and keep on a shelf, all the magic of these fleeting childhood years. But I suppose that in itself is another wish, isn’t it? And perhaps we should just stop wishing for a while and focus on being present.

Guys, I get it. Figuring out what to wear for family pictures can be stressful. But it doesn’t have to be. Over the years I’ve been blessed with SO MANY great looking families in front of my camera. I’m sharing with you some of what I’ve learned from them about selecting outfits. Enjoy!
