Most newborn shoots are scheduled in the morning, when babies are typically a bit tired after their late-night adventures. However, since you know your baby best, I’ll work with you to find a time that fits your family’s needs and ensures everyone feels relaxed and comfortable.

This all-inclusive studio newborn photography session in Fisher, Illinois includes your session time, my years of expertise in safely and gently posing newborns, and your full collection of hand-edited images delivered in a private online gallery with full printing rights.
Sessions take place in my Fisher photography studio, a calm and cozy space fully prepared for you. From curated wraps and thoughtful details to professional lighting, everything is ready so you can relax and simply enjoy your baby. With plenty of space for feeding, soothing, and breaks, the session flows at your family’s pace — never rushed, always relaxed.

The Sweet & Simple Newborn Session is a beautifully simplified way to capture your baby’s earliest days. This studio session is designed to last around 30 minutes, keeping things simple and relaxed while focusing on timeless newborn portraits (with baby wrapped for comfort if needed) and a few family images.
Your session includes 10 hand-edited images of your choice, with the option to purchase additional favorites. As a thoughtfully streamlined alternative to the Signature Experience, Sweet & Simple provides an elegant collection of the most meaningful newborn portraits — with a lighter investment.

The sooner the better! Weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a retainer. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and even feel like a deer in the headlights when I'm in front of the camera.
You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I coach you through images, you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
We're Awkward and my kids don't sit still.
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule - usually 2-3 hours before you're scheduled session time.

Often, when we're scheduling your initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
How will we receive our photos?
Absolutely. Well‑behaved pets are welcome—just make sure to keep them on a leash. Most of my outdoor locations require pets to be leashed (but don't worry, we can take it off for a few pictures if you trust your pet not to run away. Also it is a good idea to bring a dedicated handler so we can give your furry family member breaks while we capture the rest of your portraits.
