With 13+ years of experience photographing newborns, I keep room in my schedule for a small number of Fresh 48 sessions each month. Most are planned for the morning when babies are often more settled, but we’ll choose a time that fits your recovery & comfort as well as working around your hospital schedule.
With over 13 years of experience photographing newborns, I always make sure to leave space in my schedule for these special sessions. Most newborn shoots are scheduled in the morning, when babies are typically a bit tired after their late-night adventures. However, since you know your baby best, I’ll work with you to find a time that fits your family’s needs and ensures everyone feels relaxed and comfortable.
hello
A non-refundable retainer of $100 & signed contract is due at the time of booking.
Your balance will be due 24 hours before your session.
If you need to reschedule due to illness or inclimate weather, your deposit will be transferred to your new date!
Welcoming your baby is one of life’s most extraordinary milestones — and your Fresh 48 Experience is designed to honor it with both beauty and ease. This relaxed, in-hospital newborn photography session in the first day or two after birth captures your baby just as they are: tiny details, quiet moments, and the love that fills the room. With 13+ years of newborn experience, I’ll gently guide you through the session so it feels simple, calm, and completely manageable. You’ll receive a curated collection of hand-edited images, delivered in a private online gallery.
To make planning easy, I reserve your session space based on your due date. Once baby arrives, you’ll send me a quick message and we’ll finalize a start time that works best with your hospital schedule — while prioritizing your recovery and comfort. Fresh 48 sessions are often scheduled in the morning when babies are typically a bit sleepier, but flexibility is always built in, because babies make their own timelines.
During your session (typically up to one hour), there’s no pressure to “perform” or pose perfectly. I’ll photograph your baby in your arms, in the bassinet, and with siblings and family in a natural, unhurried way, leaving plenty of space for feeding, soothing, and breaks.
The result is a timeless gallery of heartfelt images that tell the honest story of your baby’s first hours — the beginnings you’ll never want to forget.
If you tell me whether your Signature Experience explicitly says “hand-edited” vs “professionally edited” and whether you include printing rights here too, I’ll lock in the single best line and make it 100% consistent across both pages.

The sooner the better! Weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a retainer. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and even feel like a deer in the headlights when I'm in front of the camera.
You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I coach you through images, you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule - usually 2-3 hours before you're scheduled session time.
.
Often, when we're scheduling your initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
Absolutely. Well‑behaved pets are welcome—just make sure to keep them on a leash. Most of my outdoor locations require pets to be leashed (but don't worry, we can take it off for a few pictures if you trust your pet not to run away. Also it is a good idea to bring a dedicated handler so we can give your furry family member breaks while we capture the rest of your portraits.
