Now that school is in full swing, and the Class of 2018 is settling in to their senior year, it’s time to share some of my favorites of the Class of 2017!

These kids are so much fun to be around.  Each year it amazes me how these kids all seem to know exactly what they want to do after high school, and exactly how to achieve their goals.  

Getting to know these young adults is my favorite part of each and every session.  I love it when I can get them to genuinely laugh and let go creating a connection between them and my camera.  Personalizing each session is another part I really enjoy – highlighting their interests, such as band, sports, agriculture, etc…, or the college they will be attending the next year.  Choosing locations that give us a variety of opportunities and beautiful light, is a top priority for me.  Light over location is my motto – a salvage yard, old buildings, fields – even under the football field bleachers can be used to make amazing images!

My hope is that these graduates of the Class of 2017 are having the time of their lives after high school, and pray the future brings them happiness and success!

Class of 2018 – this is only the beginning – enjoy your senior year!
