This little darling holds a special place in my heart for so many reasons.  I first met her mommy and daddy when I photographed big brother Nolan at about 6 weeks of age.  Since then we have developed a valued friendship and have seen each other at least 2 or 3 times a year for pictures, including mom & dad’s wedding last September!  Not only that, she is also my birthday buddy!  Don’t you think it’s such a thrill to know someone that shares your same birth date?! 

The day before these pictures were taken was Ada’s actual scheduled session.  She arrived happy, however when we laid her on the bed to start pictures, she showed her true stubborn Taurus nature.  She stuck out her bottom lip and protested pictures and I have to say, she has the cutest most pathetic way of sticking out her lip and crying.  You can’t help but chuckle – well I couldn’t, mom wasn’t amused haha!  It didn’t take long for her mommy and I to decide that rescheduling for the next day would be best.  Sometimes that happens.  Occasionally little ones come into the studio and something just doesn’t sit right with them.  Usually they’re just getting over being sick (like Ada), starting to get sick (and hadn’t shown signs yet), or they are going through a stage of separation anxiety and some simply aren’t feeling it that day – babies are often unpredictable.  As a photographer specializing in infant and child photography, am always flexible and understanding when these things happy – I’ve been there done that with my own kiddos! 

The next day Ada arrived for pictures and was as happy as could be!  The photographs we got of her as a 3 month old are breathtaking – she is a beautiful baby!  Looking forward to seeing the whole family for Ada’s 6 month session.  Thank you Jake & Lindsay for allowing me to capture so many special moments for your family!
