I’ve said it before, creative personal projects feed my soul. When Hadley’s mom Holly mentioned she had found this great purple and yellow lemon dress from Walmart our wheels started spinning and another creative collaboration project was born. We knew this sweet ginger-haired little lady needed a lemon themed session. Paired with Holly’s love of color it was bound to be magic and I’m so glad I was able to come along and once again photograph with my friend. I took the opportunity to use a couple different types of film than I would normally use for client work to compare the results. I also attempted a few double exposures throughout, because, why not?!

Hadley had fun tossing the lemons into the air and coming up with her own poses. She strutted her stuff on the parking curb and giggled quite a bit throughout our time together, so it’s safe to say she enjoyed her time in the spotlight.

Hadley had graduated from All God’s Children preschool the night before these pictures, so this was a sweet opportunity to celebrate that milestone. Milestone sessions don’t stop just because your child turns one – there are all sorts of reasons to celebrate your child(ren) with a photo session. My own 14 year old son is getting a milestone session of his own soon (whether he likes it or not haha!), because he just finished 8th grade and will be entering high school next fall. Another client is planning a session with her daughter who is learning to play the violin.
